Review of 321- Classmate Portrait

The assignment was to make a portrait of a classmate expressing their interests. Heather said she enjoyed traveling so I wanted to play with the idea of her traveling across country by train photographing the sites.

Review of 222- Portfolio

222 was a royally annoying class considering Kanaz favored the photo j kids like crazy, but it allowed me to experiment with lighting especially off camera flash. All the flash images are just using simple hot shoe flashes. The guy on the strobist blog would be proud!

Review of 222- Narrative Final

The concept is to follow the night of this women. The idea came from the OU bar scene. I just constantly see all these people getting trashed and having hook ups. I don’t really have an opinion on any of it, but it makes for a compelling story.

Review of 321- Portrait of a businessperson

So the assignment was to make a portrait of a businessperson that expressed theiroccupation/interest. I chose to shoot my father, who happens to be the Associate VP of facilities at OU. Generally he’s an architect that went into managing buildings. So i wanted to keep with the clean precise feeling of an architect while showing […]

This location is on the roof of the OU Music Building. The idea was to get a clear open skyline but I discovered these inset walls. The concept was to […]

Review of 321- Fashion

The assignment was just studio fashion. My idea was to take an iconic image and mold it into a fashion image. So I chose Risky Business! Come on, we all know that Dani here looks way better doing this than Tom Cruise ever could. Also, I made a safety image of in the style of […]

Review of 321-Muse Masks

The assignment was to shoot a found object. I searched my parents house and found these old Polynesian masks that looks like theatre muses. I tried to create alittle domestic scene using some wooden bowls and some creative lighting. Looking back, I probably should have just stuck to the masks.

Review of 321- Carrot Chase

The idea was to shoot an abstract concept. I chose exercise bulimia because of an upcoming viscom project called “Dawn to Dusk”, a day long shooting event. Well, the project didn’t work out for me, but I continued with the idea. I chose to just use the iconic image of an animal chasing a carrot and use Ian’s […]
